Eli Whitney Elementary School – 01/08/2021
Dear Eli Whitney Families,
Good evening Eli Whitney School families, due to an inability to safely staff the building at this time, the decision has been made to postpone in-person classes at Eli Whitney and remain in remote learning through Monday, January 18. At this time, students in Cohort A will return to school on Tuesday, January 19 and students in Cohort B will return to school on Thursday, January 21. The closure affects all school programming, including before and after-school activities. Please Note: Meals for students will continue to be available for pickup at Enfield High School from 8:30 am until 9:30 am. To order a meal for pickup, please call 860-253-6511. We look forward to seeing you back in person soon!
Sincerely,
Kate Flanaghan, Principal

We know these past few weeks staff, students, and families have been working hard to settle into the new school year. Despite all the challenges over these past months, School Based staff were eager to get back to school. Now that everyone is back, we are hoping to get information to families to remind them that we continue to be a resource for their children while in school or via telehealth.
We are asking that the attached flyer, in both English and Spanish, be added to any school communication platforms, such as any newsletters or email blasts, that go to families in your community. Please let me know when information will be going out; our providers are looking forward to getting new enrollments from your students!
Also, in an attempt to streamline future communications to families, and ensure we are using the best avenues available, we have created a survey for you to complete- https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/36NRFRF. Your participation in the survey will help our ability to reach families during a time when more communication and meetings have gone virtual! The survey will take just a few minutes, and the deadline for the survey results is Wednesday, October 21st.
As a reminder, families looking for our services can enroll online at www.sbhc1.com. As always, we appreciate your continued support of our services!
